The Big Easy Playboys are based in New Orleans but draw heavily on the Zydeco and Cajun cultures that thrive all around the state of Louisiana. Incorporating the classic instruments of Cajun and Zydeco accordion along with fiddle and adding the bluesy/roots rock sound of guitars and pulsing drums, Big Easy Playboys give the listeners a dose of the music that lives and breathes life into the Big Easy and the surrounding communities.

It's not very often you find a drummer as a front man.  In this band, South Louisiana native and Grammy nominated drummer Stephen Randall (provided back beats for Tab Benoit, Waylon Thibodeaux, Amanda Shaw, Beth Patterson, Golden Eagle Mardi Gras Indians Big Chief Monk Boudreaux and countless other artists) proudly shares the culture in which he grew up with the world.  Starting this band as a way to get his own creations out into universe, he quickly realized that by letting the influence of Cajun, Zydeco and the streets of New Orleans shape his songs, he would be able to give this music a unique voice.  Currently in the band are New Orleans residents Greg (Capt. Squeeze) on Accordions and songwriting collaboration.  Mike (2-Tones) Harvey, Grammy Nominated recording engineer, on both fiddle and guitar as well as recording/mixing of the band's latest CD, 'Preview' and Jaque (The Professor) Joshua on Bass Guitar and beard.

Big Easy Playboys take great joy in spreading the gospel of Louisiana music and culture and will certainly help everyone pass a good time.  Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler'!
